Annexair announces a $30-million expansion, adding 150,000 sq. ft.

Saint-Germain-de-Grantham — With great excitement, Annexair's owner, Mr. François Lemieux, announces a significant investment of $30 million to expand its facility in Saint-Germain-de-Grantham.

This investment will be primarily dedicated to extending the building, adding an additional area of 150,000 square feet, as well as purchasing state-of-the-art equipment. The company plans to break ground in coming weeks with a projected completion date of August 2025. Once completed, the factory will occupy a total area of 500,000 square feet, making it one of the largest industrial buildings in Quebec province.

The expansion will allow for the development of future innovations and R&D testing, that will include a new state-of-the-art climate chamber, equipment for testing, and a hands-on training center for Annexair Academy technicians.

Since its relocation in 2019, Annexair has experienced remarkable growth in the American market and, once again, is recognized as the ventilation solution leader resulting from its advancements in technology. "Our order book is very healthy, and we see no signs of slowdown in our market. Through this strategic investment, we will increase our production capacity to meet the ever-growing demand," says François Lemieux.

Today, the company employs 425 people at its four industrial sites. François Lemieux adds, "It's somewhat incredible what we're experiencing. We've just moved here to our new Saint-Germain factory and already have to bring out the excavators and construction helmets.”

"Despite delays related to the pandemic, our innovation launched in 2020 – the production of Biocomposite casings containing recycled plastic bottles – continues to grow as expected," highlights Mr. Lemieux. Currently, the production reuses 600,000 bottles per month and expects to reach 2 million per month by December of this year. The company plans to reuse 25 million plastic bottles by the year 2025 and 35 million by 2026.

Like the current building, the factory extension will be designed to create a work environment focused on employee well-being with ultra-clean facilities, air-conditioned environments, an abundance of natural light through large glass surfaces and numerous skylights.
